We are well into our new units and the students are very excited! Below are some websites that the students have explored in class.
2nd Grade: Parachutes and there design: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFooUXyN-pA
3rd Grade: STEM experiment: Rockets: https://www.nasa.gov/audience/forkids/kidsclub/flash/index.html#.Vq1hVbIrJD8
4th and 5th Grades: Researching oceans and sharks: http://ocean.si.edu/ocean-photos/ocean-layers
1st grade: Students shared their personality boxes. They enjoyed getting to share and learn about their new classmates.
We also began working with creating balanced equations.
This week we began Talent Development for Kindergarten students. The students had to analyze "snip-its" of animals to guess which animal they were seeing. Learning to study things with a critical eye is an important skills for learners.
